Open House Classroom Tour

Phew! Our first five day week coupled with Open House Night made for one very tired teacher! At least Open House was on Thursday night so we only had Friday to get through to make it to the weekend. The hot mess my class was yesterday can probably be explained by the number of kids who stayed up late eating pizza with babysitters while their parents came to visit! Since my classroom was in tip-top shape for the big night, I thought it would be a good time to share some pics of my home away from home.  Take a peek:

My secret to an "Open House-Ready" Classroom - shove everything that doesn't have a home yet under your desk where the parents can't see it!

Well, there you have it - my little corner of the world. I've tried to make it a warm, cozy place where we can learn and laugh, and hope that it makes the kids smile each morning when they walk through the door.  Can't ask for more than that...

Have a great night!

  3. Your room looks great, so colorful but not overboard! I wish I had your storage that must be nice to have a place to put everything even if it is under your desk. Thanks for making it real! What type of adhesive do you use to keep everything up on the walls?

    1. Thanks Sue! If my principal asks, I only use sticky tack, I swear! But I've heard (wink, wink) that clear packing tape stays up all year!

  5. I lllllove your room! What did you use to make the jeeps? Is that Mickey Font on the cricut? I love the name class sign. I made it last year after seeing yours. Do you have any tips on printing...when I made it and sent it Sams to be a poster it was a lot of white and small amount of names...

    1. Kelly,
If you email me I'll send you the png I used so you can see the ratio of white to names that I used when I had it enlarged. As for the name jeeps, I was a total slacker and just used Trend cut out letters...

  11. This same rationale can apply to renegotiating a current automobile credit where you were not in a position around then to get the most ideal advance arrangement, or maybe didn't know around then that better arrangements were accessible. Cash Advance Chicago
