Making Good Choices (Update)

Thanks so much for all of the comments and emails about the Making Good Choices book that I posted last week. (Click here for the original post.)  It's great to hear that so many of you think you can use it (or are already using it) to kick off the new school year.  I had a couple of special requests that were quick and easy to do, so I'm posting a couple of new, slightly changed versions below that might be useful for some of you.   A couple of people wrote that they use the phrase "smart" choices instead of "good" choices. (Which, btw, I really like!)  So, I made a new version with the switch and you can download the "smart" version by clicking here.  The other request was from a few first grade teachers who were hoping that the "Kindergarten" sign over the door could be changed to "First Grade."  Easy-peasy! You can grab that here.
Wishing you all a year full of both "good" and "smart" choices!

  4. These are fantastic!! My first day of school was this past Wednesday, and from what I can tell so far, I have a pretty tough class this year. When we did this sorting activity together it was the most attentive they had been all week! Thank you so much for sharing these!!! I guarantee we will be referencing our "Choices Chart" aalllllll year! :)

  5. Hi Donna,
Thank you, this is terrific. I hate to ask, but would it be possible to have a TP door sign. TP is the class between K and 1st--transitional primary. I am instituting and teaching a new TP class in Sept.
    Thanks, Fran

  7. Thank you so much for this wonderful creation of yours. I love it and can't wait to use it with my class. You are so kind to share this and I truly appreciate it. I have tried printing it out twice in hopes of making it into a book and cutting out the cards for my pocket chart. It keeps printing what's on the screen. Any suggestions? Thank you.

  8. Isabel,
I'm so glad you like the book - I'm pretty excited to use it with my class, too. I'm not sure what you mean about printing what's on the screen, but if you send me your email address (click on the email me button on the right hand sidebar) I'll send you a copy that you should be able to open and print.

  10. I have used screen shots of your PDF as a portion of a PPT for my first unit in Social Studies. I was thinking of offering the PPT on my TPT store, but wasn't sure what you thought of that. It does have your blog address listed . . . let me know what you think.

  11. Hi! I LOVE this book and want to share it with my kiddos. When I go to print it, the words become black blocks. Do you know what I am doing wrong or how I can fix it? Thank you so much for sharing such a gem. My email is nicolemundell@yahoo.com

    Thanks!
